Following Your Dreams

Just because you have children doesn't mean you can't be a star, Williams says. She offers the following advice for moms that crave the limelight:

  • No dream is impossible if you build the right support system. Ask girlfriends, your husband or your mom to watch the kids while you take acting classes.
  • Put in hard work. Yes, it's difficult to focus on your dream in between making breakfast and doing laundry, but everyone can have a dream – you have to give your dream legs.
  • Tell yourself you can do it! Audition until you get a part, then audition again.

    "I know many parents who are acting," Williams says. "Being in the industry as a career choice is much more scary when you have a child, but if you follow your dream you're teaching your child to do the same by example."
